Does Balance Even Exist!?

Finding Balance in the Chaos: Faith, Family, and the Beautiful Mess of Life

Life is anything but predictable. As a woman of God, a wife, a mom, and a dreamer, I’ve learned that balance isn’t a destination—it’s a daily, sometimes hourly, process. My deepest desire is to put Christ first, to seek Him in everything I do, and to trust that He’s working, even when I can’t see it. But I’m human, and life is messy.

Lately, our family has been stuck in what feels like an endless cycle of sickness. One of us gets sick, then another, and before we know it, the whole house is down. Just as we start to recover, the cycle begins again. My husband’s job is short-staffed, and the overtime leaves me to juggle the rest. These disruptions pull us away from church and, sometimes, even from prayer life. It’s easy to lose sight of God’s plan in the chaos, but once I realize the enemy is at work, I go into prayer battle mode.

Often, this realization hits me during nighttime prayers with my 5-year-old and 2-year-old. Holding their tiny hands and hearing their innocent voices reminds me that God is with us. These quiet moments anchor me when everything else feels like it’s spinning out of control.

Our living situation adds to the chaos. We live in a tiny house, and I get overstimulated easily. Loud noises, repetitive sounds, constant movement—it’s a lot to manage with little ones. To make space for work, we converted our bedroom into an office and moved into a shared room with the kids. Four people in one tiny room... it’s not ideal, but I keep reminding myself it’s temporary. A short-term sacrifice for long-term gains—at least, that’s what I tell myself.

And then there’s sleep—or the lack of it. If it’s not heartburn or a bad dream waking me, it’s one of the kids kicking me. On the rare nights when everything is peaceful, my mind won’t let me rest. A million ideas, dreams, and plans keep me awake. I’m living on power naps and sheer determination, but I wouldn’t trade it.

One Woman; Many Jobs
One Woman; Many Jobs

As a stay-at-home mom, my roles are endless: teacher, cleaner, scheduler, cook, and more. Homeschooling my 5-year-old is a mix of teaching foundational skills like reading and math while focusing on life lessons and learning through experiences. My 2-year-old is just learning to talk—she knows some sign language but prefers to scream (and yes, the noise gets to me).

Some days, I feel like I’ve got it all together. Other days, I’m overwhelmed by the mess—the dishes piling up, toys everywhere, laundry that never seems to end. I’ve learned to give myself grace. It won’t look like this forever, and I’ll get to it when I can.

We revolve around my husband’s schedule since I don’t drive. He handles appointments, does the grocery shopping, and often cooks. It’s chaotic and far from what I’d consider “balanced,” but it’s our reality.

Through it all, I keep coming back to God. When the noise is too much, when the chaos feels overwhelming, when I’m stretched too thin, He is my peace. Balance, for me, isn’t about having everything perfectly in place. It’s about trusting God to hold me together when life feels like it’s falling apart.

One of the greatest tools in my journey has been neurotherapy through RSM (Retracing Sequence Method). It’s helped me process trauma and let go of deeply ingrained triggers and negative beliefs. Healing is like peeling an onion—each layer reveals something new to work through. It’s messy, emotional, and sometimes painful, but it’s been transformative for my marriage, my motherhood, and my faith.

I don’t have it all figured out, and I probably never will. Balance is an ongoing process, especially when life is always changing. But I find hope and strength in God, knowing He’s preparing me for something greater.

If you’re in a season of chaos, I hope you know you’re not alone. Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. Whether you’re overwhelmed by the noise, exhausted from sleepless nights, or feeling like you’re falling behind, trust that God is with you. He’s guiding, strengthening, and preparing you for what’s next.

Let’s walk this journey together. Share your struggles, your wins, and your prayers. There’s peace to be found in the mess and hope just around the corner. As always, I declare abundant blessings over you, your families, and your businesses. Angel Navarro Founder
